The weather was not on our side really, we had rain most days and overcast days… but we still manage to explore between the naps due to jet lag and being on holiday following a busy year.
As always when we travel with kids we have to pace ourselves and allow time for the kids to adjust to a new environment and to not push too hard. My eldest also came down with a nasty cough and cold which held us back a bit.
The best thing about Amsterdam is that everything is within easy walking distance and you get to explore all the little narrow streets and canals.
Day 1 – Arrival Day
